Following qualification Imran worked in the corporate departments of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP and Simmons & Simmons LLP. Imran joined Starr & Partners LLP in 2012 from the London office of US law firm Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP where Imran was a partner in the corporate department. Imran has advised on a wide variety of corporate transactions including both public and private M&A, capital markets and multi-jurisdictional deals in a number of sectors. Imran has particular experience of private equity and venture capital transactions, acting for investors, investees and management teams. Clients have included real estate developers, multinational corporations, start-ups, private equity and venture capital funds, hedge funds, investment banks, proprietary traders, and other financial institutions. Imran graduated in law from University College, London and passed the Law Society’s final examinations at the College of Law in Guildford. He is admitted to practise in England & Wales and the state of New York.
