EMPLOYMENT






The employment team advises on all aspects of the legal relationship between employer and employee and offers experienced specialist lawyers and advocates providing representation in disputes around the country and management of non-contentious and transactional employment issues, including:

  • all ET and EAT jurisdictions including drafting ET1s, ET3s, witness and investigation work and final hearing representation

  • preparing, drafting and negotiating contracts of employment

  • drafting and reviewing employee handbooks and staff policies

  • redundancy exercises (both individual and collective)

  • injunctions to enforce restrictive covenants, garden leave and intellectual property

  • TUPE in the context of outsourcing, insolvency and other business transfers

  • equality claims (encompassing all areas of discrimination)

  • bullying and harassment

  • stress at work

  • whistleblowing

  • termination of employment and compromise agreements

  • disciplinary and grievance procedures


The team has a large and varied caseload representing clients before employment tribunals, the EAT and the High Court and regularly advises in mediations, settlement discussions and on all other ADR mechanisms. We are experienced in providing training and seminars and can provide tailored training for HR or line managers, such as mock tribunals and workshops.

The firm has been appointed to a sub-panel of Lloyds TSB Group for the last 4 years for employment work.
